Filipe Neves dos Santos holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from FEUP and has over 20 years of experience in R&D in robotics. He is currently Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (DEEC), FEUP, with a special focus on robotics, automation, and embedded systems.
He is also a Senior Researcher at INESC TEC, where he coordinates the TEC4AGRO-FOOD initiative and leads the TRIBE LAB โ a multidisciplinary team focused on smart precision agriculture, forestry, and protected cropping systems.
His work integrates robotics, automation, and digital systems to address major challenges in agriculture and forestry, contributing to European agendas like euRobotics, FAOโs digital agriculture strategy, and national innovation programs.
