1.0 Entrepreneur

From 2008  until 2010. ( OMNITA – Project founded by myself and two great friends André and Domingos… )

Founder,  project manager and developer at OMNITA – Sistemas Autónomos para Monitorização, S.A (Autonomous systems for monitoring) is a new company incorporated in 2007. OMNITA is a subsidiary company to 45% by Portuguese Ministry of the Economy and Innovation venture capital (InovCapital) and 30% for capital Business Angels (Invicta Angels).

This company originates in an initiative by a group of autonomous systems experts (Scientific researchers) and is based in the Park of Science and Technology of the University of Porto – UPTEC, Oporto, Portugal. OMNITA develops autonomous systems (in robotics platforms) for remote monitoring and observation. In addition to developing solutions suitable for monitoring, the company provides services for collecting data at three levels – aerialterrestrial and sub-aquatic– with characteristics of real time and interactive monitoring . The wide sensorial capability of OMNITA systems allows the collection of the most diverse data subsequently compiled, processed and delivered to the customer in report format documented. Vision: To be a company of reference in the area of robotic solutions for remote monitoring. Mission: Provide services and develop autonomous systems for remote monitoring integrating sensorial technology to maximize the quality of information collected.

QiJoyRob – Robot Remote Control (Download)

Adaptable UDP remote control for your robot. This application is an adaptable remote control for your robot. It can send command’s through UDP Socket and receive reconfiguration for the buttons in the UDP port 29123. It uses a simple protocol: any time that is pressed any button it sends: QCMD,BX,menu_set,velocity,counter_msg,$. where BX is the button pressed and menu set is set of buttons configured by your app. In the velocity sends the value of the slides and counter_msg is the number of sended messages. This app let you configure several actions, inside of each button. For this you only need that your app send’s a message when that button is pressed. This message should be like this: QCMDUPDATE,menu_set,b1,b2,b3,b4,b5,b6,b7,b8,b9,$ And this will change the menu set and will rename the buttons with the string in b1,b2,…
